Yesterday I made pancakes for everyone. I think Jake enjoy them the most!

Success!! After Three days of intense, regimented potty training David went Potty in the toliet! Last night after I had gone to work, Justin calls me to let me know that David had finally done it! Today he has had one accident and was really upset about it. He wants to wear big boy underwear, not pull-ups! He has yet to poop in the toliet, but will get there. Baby steps!

David: Mommy, you proud of me?!

Me: Yes David, I'm very proud of you!

David: Mommy, Daddy proud of me?!

Me: Yes, Daddy is proud of you!

So it's day two in potty training, second go round. So far we have only accomplished one drop of urine in the potty! He was so excited about it and we made a big deal about it! So I know that he knows what to do. The biggest thing is David will hold his urine for ever! As soon as the pull-up goes on he pees, it never falls! I have done bribes, used M&Ms had him blow through a straw to put pressure on his bladder to pee. He clinches to hold it in. As you can see I have his potty chair in front of the TV to see if it will distract him, but he's to smart! I don't know if I should stop pushing the issue and let him go when he's ready. So, my kid will be the only 10th grader wearing diapers! If anyone has any insight or just wants to potty train my kid for me just let me know!

My baby is 8 months old. How time goes so fast! Already pulling himself up and trying to walk. He has five teeth and bites me and thinks it's funny! With me still breastfeeding, not so much! How can you get mad at that grin! Jakie you are growing up so fast I'm trying to hold on to every moment, but you won't let me! so different with your first. Very mile stone was cherished and documented, but with your second the next thing you know they are on to something else! Please slow down!

In August My Uncle Buzz was in town and we went to the Powell Gardens to the see the Butterfly garden. We went with My dad, Pam, Buzz and Aunt Mary. It was a lot of fun and great activities for children. When we had gotten there it was about nine and already hot, so Daivd didn't hesitate to run through the fountain! It is truely beautiful and if you haven't been you should check it out.

Here are Jake's 6 month pictures that I just received from the studio. Better late than never. Hopeful I can get his 9 month pics back before christmas!

The Boys and I went on a wagon ride around the neighborhood. David wanted to take his turn and pull Jakie! Jake seemed to really enjoy the ride. Sorry the top picture is so small. If I make it any bigger it distorts the photo!

Zonkers!

We went to Zonkers with Rachel's boys Noah, Eli and Lucas. David a ball! He loved the train in which he rode about ten plus times . He rode the roller coaster with Noah and the whole time his head was down, looking unsure about the ride! But that night at home all he could talk about is going back to Zonkers to ride the roller coaster and train!

Over Labor day weekend, my sorority girls got together and spent some time on the lake with lots of margaritas and beer! We stayed at my friend, Leeper's lake house. We took the boat out a few times and took the margarita machine with us. Conveniently it plugged into the boats outlet! We docked and visited some of her relatives and took a swim. Sheri wouldn't get in the water but Dani Leeper and I jumped in with a noodle and a beer! After a bit it was time to head home for dinner, yet the boats battery was dead from the marg machine! As we started to drift from the deck with no battery or oars, Jacques, Leepie's husband dove in took hold of the boat and swam us into shore! Unfortunately I had to head to back on Sunday only spending one night at the lake. But I'm glad I was able relax, even if it was only for a day!
