Happy Easter!!!

We cheated and had our Easter yesterday! We knew the weather was going to be rainy and cold so we had the Easter egg hunt while it was nice outside. My niece Kynleah spent the night on Friday and by morning the Easter Bunny had brought Easter baskets full of candy and hide eggs outside for them to find! The Easter Bunny went a little over board with the candy this year! The kids really enjoyed themselves. Jake was clueless, but did find an egg hiding in his swing!

Baking for Easter!

I couldn't just stop at dying Easter eggs, I had to bake cookies and cupcakes! David loves to bake with me and Justin was never one for holiday spirit, but he is coming around! David and Justin rolled out the dough and cut the shapes. While I prepared the dough and batter!



David decorated the cookies and cupcakes while I did the icing. For some reason the sprinkles would not stick to the icing. I had to press the sprinkles into the icing to make them stay on. They aren't perfect looking which bothers me, but you can't be Martha Stewart with a three year old helping! I am getting better at being more relaxed when David helps!

Dying Easter Eggs

Easter egg dying was fun. David was a big help and amazingly he didn't stain his clothes. I bought a kit for like $1.00 and we only had about three colors to work with. No orange and the pink and purple were pretty much the same color. I guess you get what you pay for. The kit was a glitter kit, but it didn't turn out so well! The glitter just clumped on parts of the egg and the stick'ems that you dip the egg in first took the color off. Too much trouble, too much of a bother!

Hunting for eggs around town!

David and I went to an Easter Egg Hunt With my friend Rachel and her boys. We started in the Town Square and had a map that gave us clues to what stores the Easter eggs were hidden. There were a few bars that had Easter eggs hidden, is this a pub crawl? David had fun getting candy, seeing the Easter Bunny and hanging with "The Boys!"

I had to get a new license plate and was so excited when I saw what it had on it!
