The Berry Patch!

My uncle came in town from NY the week after I had Patrick. To entertain him and to get out for a while, we went to The Berry patch in Mo. You get to take buckets to the patch and pick your own berries. We could only pick blue berries the day we came, but you can pick black berries as well! The first patch we stopped at was pretty picked over. So we ventured down the road about a mile where the berries were plentiful! David had a great time picking berries, while Jake was eating them as fast as we were picking them! I think my dad enjoyed it as well, cuz we couldn't get him out of the patch! The weather was pretty hot that day so after an hour, I was ready to get some shade! We picked about a half a pound each and bought about another pound to take home as well. So far I have just made blue berry muffins, but I might make a pie this fall!

One Month Old!

Can't believe it has already been a month! Before you know it he will be a year old next time I blink! Patrick has been such a wonderful baby. Sleeps fairly well at night, mainly just restless. Hardly ever cries. Sometime when I'm in the car I have to double check that we have him with us, b/c he so quiet! He is starting to fill out more and getting some chubby cheeks! His hair is falling out on top so he looks more like a little old man! We have is Dr. appt this week so I will post his stats!

David's first day of Preschool!

David was so excited to go school! We having been counting down the days the last couple of weeks. When we got there he went right into his class room and didn't even say goodbye! I think he was so excited to see and play with the other kids that he didn't realize that I was leaving. Having him in the summer camp at the school I think it helped him transition him to school easily. After school I picked him up on the playground. He looked at me like I was a stranger! Also most like I'm too cool for my mom look! He told me later that he was sad to leave cuz he wanted to stay and play with his friends! I can't believe my baby is in school! On the other hand, while he is away to learn and play, I will have more time to get things done at home or even get a nap!

Happy five years!

Friday was our 5 year anniversary! J and I went to the dinner and then to a movie. It's been awhile since we have done both. It was just nice to get out and relax!

Big Brothers

I am so amazed at how well the boys are with Patrick. The boys are always wanting to hold and love on him. Jake is getting better with being nicer! He climbs on the couch sits down and yells at me until I let him hold Patrick. As soon as Patrick starts to cry he wants to give him back. David is such a good help and wants to kiss him all the time. I don't blame him, Patrick is so kissable! But just like Jake, when Patrick starts to cry it's "here mom!" So blessed to have just wonderful boys!

1 week old!

Patrick's Baby Shower!

Thursday while I was still in the hospital, my BFFs had a baby shower for us! I got a lot of great gifts, including a gift card, which I bought a new pack-n-play. Thanks girls for a great shower!
